Being raised in a large, Louisiana family, there was never a dull moment, and as a child, there was never a time I didn’t have my Kodak Disc Camera to capture those moments. When I reached my teenage years, I went from family events to freelancing. Then in my young adult years, I continued to freelance for newspapers while also shooting weddings and senior, team, engagement and family portraits.
However, the experience is not the foundation of my photography. The key to making each of my photographs picture perfect is passion. Whether it be the look on his face when he sees his bride for the first time as the back doors of the church open or the gaze of admiration the toddler flashes at her dad; capturing that flawless moment is why I do this.
Having a beautiful wife and two precious sons of my own, I know how quickly time passes, and I am grateful that I have the privilege of taking other people’s breathtaking moments that words could never describe, and transferring them into pictures that can be treasured forever. I truly agree with the quote by an unknown author that “Life is not measured by the number of breaths we take, but by the moments that take our breath away.”
